3 Simple and Fun Netball Drills for Kids

Honestly, It's very obvious to say:
Netball Drills for Kids
Kids are always active and highly motivated especially when it comes to playing and having fun especially when it comes to sports and netball is no difference.

Developing and maintaining children's passion towards netball and sports in general is perfect so:

What are the Simplest Netball Drills for Kids?

Don't worry we got you covered with 3 simple and fun drills to boost your kid's creativity and help them achieve the level of excellence at a very early age:

Warmup & Stretching comes First

Kids are soft and like playing and having the most fun possible and it's very normal and they usually rush for playing without warming up, It's basic that a warm-up is needed before any physical activity for any age but kids mostly try to take a shortcut which is a very bad habit so parents should be careful and make sure to make their children as well. A warm-up and stretch should be enough to get the blood to circulate and keep the body fresh just with basic or advanced warm-up exercises (Try not to complicate it for the kids) including Arm windmills, Jump roping, High knees and especially jogging around.

Persistent Practise Games

Kids love games and that's a good thing you can add to improving skills and enhancing abilities and here's a cool game:

Netball Tag: Start by splitting the kids to two balanced teams, one of the teams equipped with the Netball must attempt to tag the opposite team players by touching them with the ball until only one player stay and he crowned the winner.

King Ball: Without doubt this really a fun drill to practice and one of the most reliable Netball Training Drills out there, it's very simple and all you have to do is splitting the kids into two Teams with every team having their own King sitting on a bench and both teams must pass the ball between themselves until getting it to their king (Opposite team may try to defend by trying to preventing the ball from getting to the king.

Importance of Footwork & Ballwork

Those two Drills can be done together or individually and they're really fun when mixed together because a combination of Footwork and Ballwork will develop the passing, catching and movement so kids should move around the Netball court catching the ball passed from teammates freeze and pass it again within 3 seconds.

Conclusion

Probably, you will agree with me when I say:
kids are adorable especially when practicing group based sports.
You should know that they always need someone by their side (Especially their parents) to help in their growth, develop their passion and enhance their sociability going forward and starting at an early age with the fact that kids are more likely to learn and acquire skills and abilities fast so involving them in netball is the right move. Trust me when I say: They will find it easy, fun and enjoyable at the same time
